WTF mate?

I haven't posted on my blog since early last semester, so I don't really expect this to go anywhere.
But, it's worth a shot.

This is what somebody commented on my last post... PLEASE let me know if you can read french. It feels like one of those shitty mass-marketing things... in blog form... in french.

Other than that... I don't feel bloggish anymore. I could write all about my recent time spent going to class, eating, playing WoW, and sleeping, but now that I already have, it seems redundant.

Discuss.

What?

I came back from dinner out in town, a post modern italian place called Sally's. Aparently they were so cool, that not only was school beneath them, but also dollar signs, decimal places, and more than one page on the menu for something that isn't alchohol. All that aside, the grilled chicken did me quite nicely.
Also found a cozy Japanese place that served ice cream and cuisine. It smelled divine, but I only had room for the cookie dough. And a mochi. And some rice crackers. The total was 6.66. Before Lucifer could cash in my soul, however, I added a 50c tip because the cashier was cute and friendly despite being incredibly busy. I think my stomach may be housing some sort of demon, though.
Mike and Adam and I, after some extensive searching, found a tv in the laundry room of Dickson so we could watch Scarface. I don't think they appreciated the Aristotelean nature of the tragedy.

Elaboration

I'll explain.

1- Great weather, great scenery, great campus.
2- Great dorm. Up to 2 gigs free bandwidth (not a problem, see 3)
3- DC++ hub which is native to cornell. Eliminate bandwidth issue.
4- Cool people. Who knew?

Ithaca is Gorges

Wow. And I don't mean that like you think I do.

Because I only just got my computer- it took two days for all of my luggage to actually come into my possesion after arriving in NY. No, by Wow I mean WOW, THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME.
This place rules.

Alright, it's been ages since I posted, and I'm not going to offer any excuses- to be honest, I don't think anyone would listen. Anyways, senior year wrapped itself up rather nicely- everybody was on good terms, as far as I saw. Graduation was nothing less than heart-warming, even if I thought my speech didn't do quite as well as we all wanted it to. Whatever, I'm sure Thriller made up for it. I'm starting to put more of my mind on the future- I mean, what the hell- I'm going to New York. Everyone else is fine, they're staying in town, but damn- everything changes come August.
I will say this- I'll go my best to keep a part of me here in C-U. A cliched notion, sure, but I really want to keep some of this experience, because it's made me who I am today. I'm not going to say I dont regret some of it, but it's not something I really have a say in, either.
I want to say goodbye now, because goddamn if we do when the time actually comes. Goodbye, thanks for all the mammaries, see you in the winter.
Enjoy yourself, bitches. It's a celebration.

It's pretty much all over by now.
I got the Robert C. Byrd scholarship- 1,500 a year, if I renew it. Pretty nice; I felt guilty about not trying hard enough for scholarships especially after I decided to go to Cornell.
Hm...

Yell "Hay"

Oasis releases another album, "Don't Believe the Truth," on May 30. Until then, Oasis fans will be greedily clinging on to the one single Oasis has put out, "Lyla," along with the accompanying video. Flashy stuff.
I'm going to be an honest Oasis fan and say that I don't expect much from Oasis anymore. The age of Be Here Now, (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, and Definitely Maybe are gone, along with their original bass and rythm guitarists Bonehead and McGuigan. Replacing them are Standing on the Shoulders of Giants and Heathen Chemistry, two albums which are fundamentally different from the band's best-selling originals. The drums are much more prominent, replacing the contemplative and gentle guitar rythms. The lead voice, which is either predominantly Liam Gallagher, or a Noel Gallagher that has been punched in the throat, is rougher and is reminiscent of many country styles. I'm not saying the newer albums are worse (actually, Giants kind of sucks) but Oasis Now has beaten up Oasis Then and left it in a gutter. And Oasis Then was really worth listening to, even if the members of Oasis were terrible people back then (well, more so than now)- managing to be deported from Holland, being addicted to drugs (surprise), and getting pissed at eachother for not showing up during a tour. They had style.

And then the Gallaghers had to go and sober up (source- googling). I think that's it- None of the members of the band are original. Here's where they started:

And here's where they are now:

See? They're all gone. The Gallaghers ditched their mates, and in the process turned sober, effectively emasculating their musical attitude (though sure, they still claim to be as arrogant as before). They even got married (both divorced, though). tsk, tsk.

And there's all of my pessimism. Please, Oasis, prove me wrong. Be good again.
