Day one of Chicago:

We arrived at around 1, and got used to our room: free internet, cable, an a very spacious room. Kind of makes me want to just stay in the room for the weekend. But my parents wouldn't have that, no they wouldn't.

So we went to the mall, a very large one at that. Here we shopped at JC Penney, Marshal Fields, and other various shops. Very bodring. Though th highlight came when we ate at the Japanese buffet Todai, which cost us dearly but was extremely tasty. We spent an hour just absrobing the Asian atmosphere and eating.

Some quotes:

"They're all XL... Daniel, we're in the wrong country." -My Dad

"It's like mini... except DANG, really COOL!" -The fat woman in front of me at the dessert bar

Hm...

A quick note: my Oasis album count is up to four, with HeathenChemistry being the newest inductee. I know of one other album, could there be more? I must inquire...

Nature provides ways for animals to cope with harsh situations. Birds usually migrate, spending great energy to change climates. Reptiles bask in the sun, where they risk predation. Mammals choose mainly to hibernate, relying on their stored fat to pull them through.

And yes, humans are mammals.

I spend most of my days on break lounging around and deciding on what to do. In effect, it's hibernation because I almost never go out and I don't have to work at all for anything. Christ, I can see why we have an obesity problem. What do we have for kids to do? Sports? Not when they suck, and that rules out a lot of people. Community? Right. Video Games, TV, and grease? Well, if it's all we got left, sure.
Don't argue with me, you know it's true! Show me a person who hasn't seen an obese kid with too much money, and I'll show you a third-world citizen living in a mud hut.

Where was I? Yes, I was going to talk about today.

I spent the afternoon at Jerry's, playing Worms World Party, watching South Park, and riding out to Pages for all Ages to buy a basketball book. 2/3 of it was enjoyable. I naturally bested him at Worms, and South ark was as twisted as ever. No big developments, really.

And, as a final note, I will be in Chicago for the weekend. Whee, I'll be sure to post about/during the trip.

Every time I log onto the internet, I launch my mind into another struggle. I launch my Avant browser, and make a beeline for my blog. What will I post? SHOULD I post? These questions usually end up with negative answers. I then log onto AIM, which is usually empty. Then, I log off and play games. Breaks can be exhilarating.

Well, here I am on Christmas day. A listoff of my gifts: "The Essential Bruce Springsteen," which I didn't end up liking very much, a perplexing keychain, and a Creative mp3 player with 30 gigs of storage. It takes up about half as much room as my CD player, and eliminated the need to switch materials every album. So I'm happy with that. AND I SWEAR TO GOD, IF YOU MENTION AN IPOD I WILL KILL YOU.

I looked at the Zen Xtra Jukebox in comparison so said device. It seemed better because it cost a whole lot less. I still like it for that. Yes, the ipod is thinner, has a "cool circular thingy," and a whole bunch of crap, but I opted to pay less (and yes, it was me who in essence paid, as these sort of things detract from future events such as my birthday). So there.

Breaks suck only when you're in one.

I'm so damn bored at home, and I can't go out because my bike is trashed and the rest of our bikes suck (even more). So what do I do? I pass the time with Vice City, Soldat, and breakout. How marvelous. I'm anticipating Christmas because I'll be getting more things to occupy myself with. Plus, my mom gets especially edgy because she expects me to turn the house into a Martha Stewart miracle. If I don't tidy the rooms, clean the dishes, or keep all the tiles within three shades of white, I get a yap-yap-yap every evening. Imagine an entire summer like that. I'm glad I had camp last year, and a Japan trip this year.

I'm cutting this post short because of a bookstore trip. Have fun, people, and don't forget to shout out.

I am also now posting afterwards, just to take up time.

Items, quickly-
=Bought another Oasis album, "Heathen Chemistry." When the first song on the CD is "Hindu Times," great things commence.
=Barr wants another party. This time it might not work.
=Kirill wants another Halo LAN party. This time it might not work.
